FRENCH 1 (FRENCH 1)
GRADE LEVEL: 9-12
One Year
Prerequisite:  None

The goal of French I is to attain proficiency in the French language using all four basic skills -- listening, speaking, reading, and writing -- and an awareness and understanding of the culture and traditions of the French-speaking world.  Basic grammar and vocabulary are used.

FRENCH 2 (FRENCH 2)
GRADE LEVEL: 10-12
One Year
Prerequisite:  Passing grade in French I

The goal of French II is to build and expand on that learned in French I.  The four basic skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) are refined and grammar and vocabulary are taught in more complexity.  The culture and traditions of the French-speaking world are continued. [top]

FRENCH 3 (FRENCH 3)
GRADE LEVEL: 10-12
One Year:       
Prerequisite:    Passing grade in French 2

The goal of French III is to expand on that learned in French I and II.  The four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing are refined and grammar and vocabulary are taught in greater detail.  Students continue to learn culture of the French-speaking world.  Literature will also be read and discussed at this level.  [top]

SPANISH 1 (SPAN 1)
GRADE LEVEL: 9-12
One Year
Prerequisite:  None

The goal of Spanish I is to attain proficiency in the Spanish language using all four basic skills -- listening, speaking, reading, and writing -- and an awareness and understanding of the culture and traditions of the Spanish-speaking world.  Basic grammar and vocabulary are used.  [top]
