Barbers Hill Independent
School District has been
named a Texas

RECOGNIZED
School District |

The Texas
Education Agency recently
named Barbers Hill ISD a
Texas Recognized
District! This rating
is based on the performance
of students on statewide
assessments administered
during the 2006-2007 school
year. Barbers Hill is one
of only three districts in
the Region 4 area to receive
this rating.
Campus
ratings were also released.
Barbers Hill Intermediate
School received the coveted
Exemplary rating
while the Primary,
Elementary and Middle
Schools were rated as
Recognized. These
ratings are even more
exceptional given the fact
that the standard for the
Recognized rating increased
this year. Many school
districts and campuses
returned to the Academically
Acceptable category this
year, but Barbers Hill
maintained or improved each
rating received.
District and
campus leaders along with
their staffs have done an
exceptional job of preparing
students for these important
assessments. These ratings
validate the hard work and
team effort that was put
forth. Students and parents
also deserve a great deal of
credit for their commitment
and performance.
