For
2008-2009, the 12 required technology in-service hours occur on Monday,
August 18, and Tuesday, August 19. Every BHISD staff member must
attend those 12 hours, or have been granted prior credit for part of
those hours.
This calendar
contains in-service sessions
offered by Barbers Hill ISD for August 2008. Session information is accurate as of
the date posted. Sessions, dates and times are subject to modification
as changes occur. Sessions are subject to cancellation if
there are insufficient pre-registrations received. Session status
will be updated regularly on this calendar.
There are
currently 20 different courses offering over 60 classroom hours of
instruction. New sessions
may be added if they become available. Check back often.
Required Sessions:
During the
planning phase of the in-service, campuses and departments were given an
opportunity for input. Many of the courses are a direct result of
that input. Because of that, some teachers will be asked to attend
specific sessions. We are implementing the NetStart web page project,
all teachers will be asked to register for and attend one of the
NetStart sessions. And, high school teachers will be asked to attend one
of the MediaCast sessions (MediaCast will be replacing the IPTV system).
The groups affected by these requirements are listed below.
-

number and name of sessions you must and/or want to attend.
Make sure the session number is correct.
-

of any special group listed above - register for those sessions
first.
-
