Guidelines for Submission and Approval of Flyers

Revised Guidelines for Approval of and Access to Flyers and Other Printed Materials

The Department of Communications will be responsible for reviewing and approving flyers for organizations or local businesses that provide direct service to BHISD students. On the bhisd.net website, click on the Community Events button, and this will take you to the link for the Community Bulletin Board. You will find the Revised Guidelines for Approval of and Access to Flyers and Other Printed Materials and the Flyer Distribution Request and Approval form.

A copy of the flyer/material in pdf format AND a Flyer Distribution Request and Approval form must be submitted online for consideration of approval. Please allow at least 2 days for approval. Flyers may be denied for the BHISD Community Board due to poor quality for website placement. Flyers may NOT contain live web addresses.

If the organization is outside the district, all flyers MUST have the following disclaimer statement printed at the BOTTOM of the flyer in BOLD, CAPITAL letters. This disclaimer should be in a font size of 12 points or larger.

THIS ORGANIZATION AND ITS ACTIVITIES ARE NOT RELATED TO OR SPONSORED BY THE BARBERS HILL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT.

The flyer should not contain advertising logos or promotions for any business/organization other than the approved organization/business submitting the flyer.

Approval Granted for Access/Distribution

Notification regarding approval will be e-mailed to the contact person. Please include an e-mail address on the flyer request form.

Only BHISD school sponsored organizations will be allowed to distribute flyers through the Tuesday folders. The signed Flyer Distribution Request and Approval form from the office of the Director of Communications must accompany the material presented to the campus for distribution. It will be the organization’s responsibility to make copies for the campuses and bundle them for distribution. Please count out the flyers according to numbers of sets and students on each campus, and include a signed Flyer Distribution Request and Approval form for each campus. Numbers of copies/bundles for each campus may be obtained from the Director of Communications.

Water Day 2018

Cub Scout Pack 105 Water Day 2018 in front of First United Methodist Church of Mont Belvieu on August 25 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Come meet the pack and learn about scouting.

KiDs Beach Club is a FREE Bible club led by dedicated Christian volunteers and meets in your child's school for one hour, one day a week.

Special Olympics Texas Swim Team

This program is for adults and children ages 6+ with intellectual disabilities. Practices will focus on developing the swimmers' endurance, technique, and competitive swimming skills. Swimmers 8 years old and older can compete in the regional and state meets in the fall if they so choose. Competing is optional.
