Strike-Out Cancer event will be held at the varsity softball/baseball games on Friday, March 22 beginning at 4:30pm.
The softball team remained unbeaten in district play after knocking off Port Neches Groves 6–0 last night. Samantha Landry, Sophia Simpson and Jessica Mullins combined to allow only one hit while striking out 18. Hayley Freudenberg, Amber Thibodeaux and Kaylee Hornberger lead the way offensively. You can catch the softball team in action this Friday night at home vs. Cleveland, JV at 4:30 and Varsity at 6:15
Friday March 22, is the last day to turn in NHS Application Packets. Please deliver your completed packet to Mrs. Phillips in B293 by 3:00pm on Friday.
The boys soccer team traveled to PNG last night. It was a back and forth game where both teams had some good chances. Unfortunately the Eagles came up short in a 2-1 loss. The lone goal was scored by Senior Landon Gershmel in his first career BH soccer game. The goal was assisted by Senior captain Reagan Cox.
Eagles will finish up district play Friday night at Cleveland HS.
Macho Volleyball will be happening here at the high school, Wednesday, April 24 in the gyms. All registration, rosters, and money are due by 3:30 pm Friday, March 22 to Mrs. Gershmel (A173) or during lunch.
Coaches and players must be juniors or seniors.
Teams can schedule practice times once they have registered.
For Juniors and Seniors wanting to purchase a shirt to support your class in this epic battle, we will have shirt order forms available.
If you are planning to take a dual credit course next year and need to sign up for TSI, please see Mrs. Hodges in the freshman office. An email went out with the available dates. Juniors…if you think you may be exempt from testing, please double check with Mrs. Guy.
The Soaring Eagle Color Guard will present a friends and family performance of their production, “Be Someone” which features Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car and Houston’s iconic Be Someone Graffiti on Friday, March 22 at 5:30 in the Barbers Hill Middle School North Gymnasium.
Congratulations to the Academic Decathlon team who competed at the state competition over Spring Break. Charis Strickland received a silver medal in interview with a near perfect score, and Isaac Recio received a bronze medal in literature. The team finished the year by improving their score by 3000 points.
The BH Bass Club participated in a tournament hosted by the Southeast Texas High School Fishing Association on Saturday, March 16 at Sam Rayburn. The team of Paden Dugat and Riley Bailey captured 1st place out of over 500 teams registered for the tournament. This was a first for the bass club. The team weighed in 5 fish totaling 21.28 lbs. and Riley had the big bass of the day which weighed in at 11.61 lbs. Congratulations!
