Meet the new MSN Director

Cameron Wolfe

Mr. Cameron Wolfe is coming to “The Hill” in his 10th year of teaching! Before joining Barbers Hill Middle School North, Mr. Wolfe taught at Atascocita Middle School in Humble ISD and Denver City ISD.

While in Denver City, Texas, Mr. Wolfe served as the Assistant Band Director at Denver City High School and Denver City Middle School. He assisted the “Mighty Mustang” high school marching band and high school Honor Band. Both groups earned 1st division ratings at UiL Marching Evaluation & UiL Concert & Sightreading Evaluation. In addition to his high school duties, Mr. Wolfe assisted the middle school Honor Band, who earned a sweepstakes trophy at UiL, conducted the concert band, who earned 1st Division ratings at the Abernathy festival, taught beginner trumpet and french horn, and conducted the beginner band, who earned 1st division ratings, “Best in Class”, and “Overall Outstanding” at the Abernathy band festival in 2012.

During his eight years at Atascocita Middle School, Mr. Wolfe conducted the Honors Band, assisted the Symphonic and Concert Band, and served as Fine Arts Department Chair. In addition to those responsibilities, he taught beginning trumpet, beginning clarinet, beginning french horn, and beginning flute. Mr. Wolfe also taught the AMS Jazz Band and drumline. Mr. Wolfe’s bands have consistently received UiL Sweepstakes ratings, unanimous first division ratings, Best in Class honors, Overall Outstanding Band honors, and have made consecutive appearances to the “Area” round of the TMEA Honor Band process.

Mr. Wolfe earned his Bachelor of Music Degree from Lamar University under the tutelage of Dr. Scott Deppe and Dr. Ryan Smith. While in college, Mr. Wolfe was a member of the Lamar Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Pep Band, Trumpet Ensemble, and Showcase of Southeast Texas Marching Band.

Mr. Wolfe enjoys motivating young musicians to achieve the highest level of performance by sharing his extreme love and passion for music with them on a daily basis. He feels honored and privileged to have worked with so many skilled associates, who’ve shared his ambition in maximizing student success. Mr. Wolfe also feels blessed to have a loving family, many great mentors, band directors, and close friends who have influenced his career thus far.

In his spare time, Mr. Wolfe is an avid fitness enthusiast and competitive weightlifter. He also is recently married to his beautiful wife, Rachel Wolfe. They reside in Humble, Texas with their standard poodle, Roscoe, and corgi, Rexy.
